MSD digital 6
I was wanting to see how much power everyone was making on this ignition system with the blaster ss coil and also the pro's and con's of this ignition system. Thank you.
The Blaster SS coil isnt that great. You would be better off with the Digital 6 and a HVC coil.
To answer your question, there are 600whp cars using blaster ss coils and there are also 600whp cars on stock ignition.

I've made 640 whp with wheelspin on the rollers off of Digital-6 and a Blaster SS, the car should be making 700 but no traction = empty claim. IMO, Blaster SS is equivalent to stock, only it costs less and is removed from the heat of the distributor enclosure.
Never fooled with an HVC coil, but I've popped a few HVC II coils by playing around with dwell. I didn't shift it around very much at all, so I infer stock dwell is maxed out for those.

I've made 804 with one of those. Had to take the pulls in 5th gear to get traction, which is a no no because 5th likes to let go at that power, but it worked out for us. IIRC spark plugs are gapped at 0.023-0.024", so there's more left in the coil.
