I am installing an MSD external coil on a road race car because the stock coil system keeps overheating in our longer races that are in hot conditions. I am NOT doing this to gain power against the stock system, although I wouldn't be surprised if I got a few extra hp. The car is currently on Hondata S300 OBD1 with a 195 whp, 11.6:1 CR, B18C5. So on with the questions...

1. Does it matter if I get Digital or Analog (SCI vs SCI+)?
2. Is the Digital 7 a better alternative to the SCI or SCI+?
3. Blaster 2 or Blaster SS coil? Any others?
4. Any advantage to getting an MSD distributor?
5. Any advantage to getting the MSD cap and/or rotor?
