wiring harness,obd1-obd2
ok i have a b18c spec r on a 95 civic coupe,my current harness has cuts everywhere and its something i want to get out of the way by replacing it with a new one.My question is which one is better and easier to install(meaning less modifications)a 95 vtec harness which wil be obd1,since i heard the only differance is in the distributer plug and something else if you can let me know,or a 1999 gsr harness with a jumper harness to convert it to the obd1 connection of the ecu?
i myself if everything on it is already obd2 i just get an obd2 harness...it'll be plug and play you don't need a jumper harness unless u wanna run the type r ecu...then all u need to do it hook up your knock sensor and o2...

Using an OBD2A ('96 - '99) Integra harness makes the whole thing plug and play. (OBD2B ['00 - '01] Integra harnesses can be used however you will have to manually add the tach signal wire)
If the car is OBD1 he's going to have an engine half harness that unplugs at the shock towers.
The Ideal harness for the OP is a 92-95 Civic Si/EX harness. He'll need to change over the distributor plugs and alternator plug, as well as add a wire for the knock sensor (depending on ECU). Depending on the location of the O2 sensor, he may need to extend those wire as well. It sounds like he's already running an OBD1 ECU, so he wont have to make any changes under the dash or buy a conversion harness.
I disagree.

That part of the harness is completely seperate, actually its a seperate harness, it ends at the passenger's side shock tower plugs. What you want to get is a '93 - '95 EX coupe underdash harness + a '96 - '99 GS-R or ITR harness if you want the whole thing to be 100% plug and play. Just as a side note you do realize the P75 is a non vtec ECU right? It can be converted to vtec status and then chipped for whatever, just wasn't sure if it was stock or chipped and converted.
yeah my p75 is chipped to run vtec and settings were changed,ok just to get this straight im right now running an obd1 harness so the 2000 gs-r harness will plug right in,and if i want to change the harness that plugs to the ecu i just got to change it right but i can still ude a 95 vtec one right?
But remember if using an '00 - '01 have to add the tach signal wire, its better to use a '96 - '99 harness if you can find one.
