Which Wire Harness OBD1 or OBD2??????
Ok, I'm building my engine now but I'm kind of undecided on which wire harness for the engine is going to be the easiest to adapt. The head and everything on it is OBD2. The car it's going into is a 92 civic hatch w/o factory vtech. Is it going to be easiest to get a OBD2 harness and then convert to OBD1 to plug into a P28? If I go that route are the strut plugs eliminated or does the OBD2 harness plug into that? Just a little confused on what I should do. All your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jason

94-01 integra harnesses plug straight up into 92-95 civics. 99-00 Si dont. All you gotta do witht he integra harness is run a few wires from the harness to the ECU. As for the distributor, you can always just plug the pins and redo them to either OBDI or II.

So are you saying I should get a GSR harness to plug up to everything because that would have Vtech already on it as well? And does the GSR harness plug in to the stock chassis harness on the strut towers? Does the GSR harness have OBD2 plugs on the engine side or OBD1 plugs?

yes it plugs in....it has OBD1 plugs on the engineside....trust me...i just used a 99 GSR engine harness on my car and it plugs up

So if i have an OBD2 head than this harness will plug into my OBD1 strut mounts but will also plug into my OBD2 sensors on my engine? Sorry for the questions, Just wanna make sure. Thanks, Jason

actually yes it does....but u can cut and paste that piece...odb1 is a cirlce and odb2 is a square or vise virsa

oh yeah good point....just plug up the wiring harness and ecu, throw in the motor and u r good to go
