b16 running on 2 cylinders
well i have a jdm b16a swapped into my ef civic sedan and its running like crap chugging along with a high idle. all of the cylinders are getting spark. i pulled the plugs to see if they were getting fuel and cylinder 1 and 3 were dry. all of the injectors however are getting power (i grounded them at the ecu with a test light). when i grounded 2 and 4 the motor chugged even more and then died. when 1 and 3 were grounded nothing happened. im going to pull the rail when i have some time this week and try swapping injectors and see if its an injector issue, but is there anything else that could be causing this issue? im obviously going to need to double check the wiring on those two cylinders, but what about the main relay or anything else in the injector circuit? also when it was running the stock d15 dpfi it had a code 16 for the injectors, i replaced them with some junkyard ones and the code remained, i just left it at that because it had no effect on the driveability. any insight is greatly appreciated thx. i also posted this in the hybrid forum but apparently theyre slow moving
a "buddy" did this swap and couldnt figure out what was wrong, ****ed me out of my money and dumped the car off at my house so im trying to back track thorough all of his work
two injector wires get wired to the computer when switching to multi-point
did you do the swap?? typically the wires are cut at the computer and soldered (or twist-n-tape) to some wire that runs to the injector under the hood.
it could be that someone stepped on your wiring in the car (most people don't run the metal ecu cover) disconnecting something.. check that stuff first.
let us know what you find, we are here to help joo!

i didnt do the swap a buddy did, couldnt figure out what was wrong with it and gave up so im stuck backtracking though all of his work
all of the injectors are wired up and they all have power from the ecu, im not sure if the wires are correct after that i havent traced them yet. anything else i could be looking for that could have gone wrong in the process? thanks again for the responses

I had an issue with one of my cylinders not firing and i was getting spark to all of them. After troubleshooting everything under the sun it ended up being that i did not have enough spark with 10.5/1 compression and had to get an external coil that solved the problem. However i dont think that's what your problem is. But just thought i'd throw that out there in case you exhausted all your other options.

I just figured my problem out and i had the same problem but with only cyl2. To trouble shoot ur injectors for sure pull the rail off then have someone crank ur car over. You will see fuel shooting out if everything is good. My problem dident end there though all my injectors worked. If urs are working then do a compression test. Im yanking my head soon to see if its rings or valve seals.
Hope this helps

sorry for the late bump...i actually solved the problem mid may i just forgot about this thread...but for closures sake it turns out the wiring was f'd the resistance from the ecu to the injector on 1 and 3 was way high so i had the entire car rewired....and apparently it was so bad it fried the ecu
last time i have a friend do the wiring for me

nonsence you can have friends do the work for you, but you just have to know that they're doing it right. i'd never **** over a friend like that. tends to come back and bite you in the ***, from what i've seen
