i have a 90 integra ls with a b20b and a b18b tranny but the tranny is going out and i was gonna get a b20a tranny. will it fit on the b20b? or will it not work?

 

wont work.. b20 tranny are real time awd or somethng anyways wont work get a b16 tranny if staying allmotor or gsr 4 turbo.

 

not the b20a the b20a tranny comes from a 89-91 prelude. preludes arent AWD now are they?

your point? i have a b18 tranny on a b20 thats not the same thing? the b20a what just before the b20b

 

not very sure but I believe the head,block,mount points,tranny bolts are all different between the two!

as I said Iam not sure soo dont bring your hopes down just research, one thing Iam sure is that its alot of work though! why wouldnt you just buy a clean jdm b21a? its probably the healthiest,easiest route you can take!

the b20a/b21a1 are the BLACK SHEEP OF HONDA motors none of there **** fits any other b series motors belive me

the 88-91 preludes HAVE NOTHING to do with the crv motors

 

if i was you ill get another ls tranny. b16 tranny is good if you dont like to go faster den 115 on freeway. gears are really short and on a b20b block your safe redline is 5500. unless u have a vtec head but u probly dont.

 

b20a wont mate with anything from b20b/z b18a/b/c or b16a/b and vis versa

WTF. what kind of ******* drives over 115 on the hwy????? also the safe redline is whatever it was in the crv regardless what head you have.
