#3 sleeve goes bye bye
Well as most of you know last week I went to the dyno and had 315 hp @ 13 psi. I developed a leaky headgasket, I thought, and the head was pulled today. #3 sleeve is bye bye.
I believe that aggressive tuning coming from a crappy G-Force chipped ECU did it. This was prior to install of Hondata which would have prevented it. Its a small hairline crack on top of #3 and it went all the way through, so the block is gone.
My #4 JE piston has a small piece of it gone too but luckily it can be repaired.
All I can do now is have Darton sleeves installed at a cost of my right arm and a left ********. I love this hobby but its so expensive.

Damn, sorry to hear man. Question. How the hell can you repair the piston---what exactly is wrong with it.
Also, why the decision to run Benson sleeves---most of the board is pro GE.
Good luck on the rebuild. Give a leg, not a nut.

Ok I did it. I put my deposit for Darton sleeves. Darton had two B18C1 blocks in stock and im the owner of one. It should be here next Wed.
I sent my block as a core and my second block with a cracked sleeve which they are buying for a two hundred and fifty dollars. Luckily all my bearings, pistons, rods, crank etc can be reused. I should be up and running by end of next week.
