Default Intake Manifold Help (asap)

My problem is i recently bought an im and tb. but the im is made by obx i bought it off ebay (don't bash me for buying parts off ebay please i know it can be risky) but it doesn't fit right. (i posted earlier bout that problem) but i read some guy was having problems with his idel. he said it was cause the im is to large. is that possible? by the way the engine is a d15b7. any help? I dont want to modify the im if it is going to cause problems anyway.

And my other question is i have a 66mm throttle body what kind of problems am i lookin at? if worse comes to worse will it work with a stock im?

Thanks in advance.

im not sure how a rough idle could be caused simply by a large intake manifold. if it werent mounted right and there was a vacuum leak then THAT would cause idle problems. if the manifold doesnt fit then i dont know what to tell you there....sounds like a learning experience. as far as the throttle body, i have no info for you.

honestly, i would not waste my time building a N/A D series. yes you could, and yes you could get a decent amount of power. but it would cost ALOT of money and take ALOT of work to accomplish this. BUT SOHC engines take to forced induction ALOT better than N/A. whats even worse is that you have a D15, which puts you at a greater disadvantage because you are already working with a smaller engine. even a D16 would be a big improvement considering there is a bigger aftermarket product line for D16s than D15s. if you kept everything the same and simply raised the size to a 1.6, you gain 6.6% increase in potential power which doesnt mean much on a stock engine, but on a built engine lets say the 1.5 is completely tapped out N/A at 250hp. there is no more power to give out of that engine without forced induction. so by going up to 1.6 your potential just topped out at 266.5hp all in all i think you should consider a different starting point, d16Z6s and Y8s are cheap. easy swaps and offer more potential than what you have.

im not trying to tell you what to do, just offering advice. i understand that already having the engine in the car is a big factor.
