my problem is that i have an idle that goes from 1k to 4k then back a\nd fourth now the weird thing is that is i take my intake off and put my finger over the lower left hole in the throttle body the idle drops back to normal... what does that hole do and what the hell could be causing this problem? thanks

ok I have been told it is the iac unit now where is the iac is it the unit that is mounted to the intake manifold or the unit mounted to the throttle body? Or are they both part of the iac system I replaced the unit on the backside of the intake manifold last month and it was still idleing like a crazy mad man. and then I found that pluging the unit lower hole in the throttle body stops the problem and that lead to a unit mounted on the under side of the throttle body so i am going to replace that. I will let you guys know how this works when I am done.
