what type of downpipe would i use on this turbo??

 

It looks like a 4-bolt to me.

 

a friend of mine told me it looked like it needed a piece for the downpipe. but idk much about turbos.

 

v band

 

so would i need to get a flange or something to connect it?

 

i meant do i need a flange to connect the downpipe to the turbo. or just the downpipe and a clamp?

 

it looks like it used a vband flange, but doesnt look like thereis any room to clamp it

 

any suggestions on what i can do.

Weld a proper vband on it.

what the hellll, i never seen anything like that. IF that is a Vband, it is DEF different.

 

No. you're just not used to seeing the turbine housing before the v-band is welded. ONly about 10 percent of the v-band turbine housings that are ever made are actually cast as one piece. The rest are welded. That is what it looks like before it is welded on.

so just weld that flange on then it should be good to clamp up to the downpipe?
