Default clutch problem....

Today on the way home...my clutch started acting up...ive only had one clutch go on me before...and it was not similar to what mine is doing now. When i push in the clutch pedal it is very loose and engages at the floor and releases at the floor. is this for sure the clutch or what???

Is the clutch master cylinder low on brake fluid? If so, look for fluid leak around the top of the clutch pedal and at the slave cylinder. Also inspect the clutch fork that contacts the slave cylinder. If there's no leak or broken clutch fork, bleed the hydraulic system and, if the problem persists, replace the clutch master cylinder.
