Default Gear doesnt go in all the way

So I recently noticed this but sometimes The gear doesnt go all the way in when in reverse and 1st gear. Feels like it gets stuck half way. But then I just wiggle the stick shift around a little in neutral and it goes right back into gear. Has anyone ever have this issue?? This only happens sometimes during the week. all other geears are like butter

Do you have a short shifter? I had this problem with one, with the stock one it was great shifting. Also does it only do this when you are at a dead stop?

I't normal. I really baby my shifting and it has been that way ever since I own the caR. if you have to ask, it only has 38K miles.

Same here, I just release the clutch and try again.

Nah, hydraulics are fine. It's a common issue with the GS-R and ITR trans. Just don't force it, I usually let the clutch out a little and it'll sldie in.

Or rebuild the trans, that'll fix it for awhile.

mine is like that with reverse. I just put it back into 1st or 2nd and then reverse and itll go in.

To my understanding, isnt reverse the only gear without synchos? I could be wrong but that would explain the common problem with it going in.
