missfire?
ok, i just rebuilt my dizzy and now when i am at low rpms my engine kinda feels like it loses power or jerks for a millisecond, and no check engine light comes on. it doesnt do this all the time. i originally thought it could be a missfire. any suggestions?
a easy way to check for misfires is with a compression gauge.a good compression would be around 150 psi or so.anything less than 100 could mean bent valves or your piston rings are colapsed.a cyl. leak down test will help u determine if it is the rings or not.if both are good, check ignition or fuel.more so ignition if your car can run.also check your spark plugs and wire.oem wires and plugs are the best to use.make sure they're new or if used in good condition.

it only does this every once in a while. not that often and only noticable at low rpms. to me in the drivers seat it kinda felt like a missfire, but no engine light. the motor runs strong and doesnt appear to have a lack of power. the firing order is deffinatly correct. and i dont think a compression test is necessary.
