99-00 Depo Fog light help! Blowing Fuses!!!!
Man the depo kit keeps blowing the damn fuse!!! Here is where i have my grounds... where does the brown plug go on the fuse box? WTF... should have got OEM... these things havent even lit up once!!!! I have a 99 EX....

For your engine bay ground, try moving it over to the oem ground right there in your picture.
If that STILL doesnt turn em on try moving the brown fuse box plug around.

Do your foglights turn on? If they do, where are you getting power from?
Check your wiring that goes to your relay switch, all of the replica fog lights i've delt with wasn't wired up to the relay.

I will try that ground... I have tried every slot for the brown plug... the 2 from the left blow the fuse... the 3rd doesnt do anything...
There is a power wire that connects to the relay... the relay then plugs into the light harness... here is the wiring diagram...this is exactly how i ran them...
OK so i fixed it... all my connections were good. When plugging in the brown clip make sure you use the second open one from the left. This one will enable you to leave the switch on and they will turn off when you turn your headlights off...
So what i did was check if the bulbs were trippin... i unplugged one harness and fired them up... what do you know... the one that was plugged in worked... so i knew that the other light was grounding out causing the fuse to blow...
So then i took the assembly apart and low and behold the connection that was going to the bulb didnt have the plastic sleeve pulled all the way over the connection... so the connection was touching the metal inside the housing... i pulled the plastic cover over (like a condom) and BOOM they worked!!! I mounted everything up and everything is good to go!!!
I love the Depos... they brighten up the road quite a bit! I am just waiting to see how long they work for... LOL...

Man, I picked up a set of these off ebay, they look great, but wiring is completely retarded. On mine they turn on but they stay on, the provided switch doesn't turn them off. I tried grounding mine to a bad area as well, and then placed the ground at the oem spot that's in ur pic and they turned on. My interior ground is in the same location as yours, and I'm wondering if that's a bad spot because of all the other grounds already there and maybe causing my switch to not work properly although it lights up and stays on all the time. These things just suck for installation guidance all together, I tried the "english" version and said screw it and just winged it. Definitely check ur grounds tho, try moving the interior to another location, I'm still tryin to find a good one within reach. Anyways, good luck with ur problem...and hope ur switch works lol

Wow, stupid me, didn't read all the posts, my bad. Any clue what may be causing my stupid switch to stay lit all the time(even when the car is off) and not control the lights what so ever?

... that one would connect in that 1st connection... if your wiring had both connectors
Okay so I hooked them up the same as he did to where they cut on w my headlights, but the switch doesn't turn them on and off, what's the point of a switch that doesn't work? What am I doin wrong!?

if so, on D that 1 pic connector goes in that Option (dash lights). that'll make it that if you turn on the head lights, you'll get power to the fog light switch (if you have one) like the one in the picture in D

in this pic, thats how i connected mine. in the first pic, you see that in the B section the power cable has that "O" at the end, that'll connect directly to the battery. the one i have has a connector just like the D section. so my connection has both cables connected near the fuses. so my battery cable (white with a fuse connected to it) connects in the first slot (B+) and the other in the same location Option (dash lights). now on my car the third slot gets 12v when you turn on the car, and it works. i tried it that way and when i would click the switch, the fog lights turned on without having to turn on the headlights. go over and check your wiring
i know its alot of reading, by go over it and let me know if you still need help. and if you can take a pic of your connections...
i have everything hooked up exactly, i have it in option 2(dash lights) and foglight switch is getting power at ignition of headlights, however is not controlling the foglights on and off.. in turn, pissing me off and im about to throw them out the window. But atleast they work with the headlights i guess, im just sick of screwin with them

i dont know whats going on lol.. i may have a crappy switch, wish i had an oem one anyways, seeing as the one that came with the Depos doesnt fit properly. But the foglights cut on with the parking lights and headlights, the switch will not cut them off. Granted they still look great after a little tweaking to get them adjusted properly. Hopefully i can figure out whats going on... i tried option 5(according to the fuse block) and thats where the switch was pulling power with the car on, off, keys out and locked up, switch was still lit. I may just leave it the way it is and just run them all the time when i have my headlights on lol just gettin fed up with them. I appreciate your help man!
