99-00 OEM Fog Light Wiring Question (searched)
Searched and had no luck so I'm askin for some help...
I wired up every last thing (besides the fog lights themselves, still have to cut the bumper open) but inside, there's still a brown 1 pin connector. I know it goes somewhere along the fuse box area but where?
I know there are those 5 fuse holes along the top that are shaped similarly to the one I left hanging, but the connector can't go in. It literally cannot go in. Each fuse hole on the fusebox is RIGHT next to each other and there's just no way the connector can slide in.
Is there a piece I'm missing to connect it to the connector so I can put it into the fusebox?

what kind of OEM are you using? genuine oem or oem replica/ style?
If you have genuine OEM, look around the back of your fuse box under the dash. You'll see another brown plug taped with blue tape to the back. Loop your brown plug over the top of your fuse box to the back and plug those 2 together. For your engine bay, there should be another brown plug taped below your windshielf washer resevoir. also with blue tape.

Here's my fusebox:
I was told a brown plug is supposed to go in a hole in there somewhere. So where's it plug into?
I'm genuine OEM (from handaaccessories.com) as in Raybrig since they say Rabrig on the front of the fog lenses.

what does it say on the instructions? I got genuine OEM from ebay and used the genuine instructions off handaaccessories.com. you should open it. It'll tell you what I said. look at the back of your fuse box. not the front with all the fuses. In the back you'll have a brown plug taped with blue tape to the back. it shouldn't be part of the fuse box. It's seperate. I just wired my box yesterday for OEM fogs so it's very fresh in my head.

page 8.
look around instead. lie on your back as far under the dash as you can. Mine was taped near the middle of the fuse box.

That sneaky piece of ****. It was taped way up in the back. No wonder why.
Thanks man. The fogs aren't plugged in but they the light on the switch came on when I turned my lowbeams on (not parking lights tho) and turned off when I flicked on high beams.
Any way to wire them so they come on whenever I want? Like without parking/low/high on and both low and high?

Re: (amej8)
I read there is, but you chance blowing fuses/ burning wires from what I also read I'm happy enough with mine OEM spec so I get OEM reliability Look around, some1 is bound to have done a writeup. It's a rewiring of some sort. But OEM will only like with lowbeams on.

Re: (amej8)
np. lmk if you have trouble with the engine bay at all. That should be 100x easier though untape the brown plug, plug it to your lights harness, screw in the ground, fasten down the harness to your bumper support.

I have all the wiring done. Every last thing. The harness is clipped to the chassis under the bumper, the brown connectors are together, ground is bolted down. On the interior - relay and ground are bolted together to a hole, 2 big connectors are in behind the steering wheel, etc.
All I need to do is cut the bumper and mount the lights and plug the harness into them. But I don't think I'll be getting to that tonight. Only problem is, it's raining. Hopefully the water doesn't expletive up the ends of the harness where they clip into the fog lights. If they can, I'll have to take my bumper off and put plastic bags over the connectors then.
Thanks again!

Question - I left the 2 front connectors that connect into the lights just hanging under the bumper. And it's raining out. Will the rain hurt them? Or is it okay just to leave em hanging in there and chill until I get the lights mounted on.

Re: (h22egAZ)
I see a red x
Do you have your bumper on? should be okay if the bumper is on. I still would try to avoid getting plugs you're using wet when possible. you can just stick them in those large holes at the ends of your support bumper probably.
