Default Skunk2 Users!! Idle? Cams! HELP! Look inside!

You can see what kind of car and mods I have in my sig.

My idle is kind've ruff. Sometimes, the motor even dies at a stop sign or a stop light. The car shakes when its in idle also. Can someone help?

The cam gears are set at Intake +2 (Skunk2 +4), and Exhaust -1.

Fuel Pressure is at 50psi.

What can be the problem and how can I fix it? Skunk2 Stage 1 cams are suppose to have a smooth idle right? Please help out... Thanks.

Some more info would be:

Idle's around 700rpm. Sometimes, it goes really low and dies or shoots up.

When I turn on my car, there's like a little ticking? shaking noise near the cam gears and pulley area. Did a valve adjustment after the Cams/Cam gears insall.

I've seen a couple people with Skunk2 Cams here and was wondering if you guys had a similar problem or not. How can I solve this Idle problem? Please help. Thanks.

is this in a gsr motor? if so what valvetrain are you running..?
and lastly, have you ben tuned, ad do u have a vafc?
Yup. GS-R motor and stock valvetrain.

Yes I've been tuned for 1 hour and yes I do have a VAFC.

Have any ideas?

definately check the fast idle screw. did you reset the ecu after the cam install (don't know if that would have an effect with the V-AFC)? when was the last time you had a valve adjustment (cold)?

What have you adjusted since you went to the dyno?

absolutely Nothing. Yes we did reset the ECU after the cam installation.

play with the idle screw, and the you may be drowning the motor with fuel in low low rpm...causing a stall or shuttering....lean it up a tad, and or loosen the idle screw
Agreed, my toda b's are the same way, i set my vafc to -25 @ 1k rpms (narrow throttle) and the car idles much better. When i have the fan and defrost on, car idles almost like stock. Try and see if leaning that beotch out will help. If i can get my toda b's to idle somewhat normal, im sure you can with those skunks.

Ok. I don't know how to do fuel stuff on the VAFC. I went to the Narrow Throttle, and had rpm +-0, and 65

What do I need to do to Lean it out and at what rpm? Someone let me know because I don't want to mess up anything.
