My 97 type sh has been having a clunk/clicking noise for a while. It only happens when i engage the catch point/ shift/ or let go of the gas pedal while driving. i checked under the car and i think what looks like the intermediate shaft has play? When i spin the front wheel on jacks in neutral, the wheel spins for a bit then finally "clicks"/catches the intermediate shaft.

I was wondering is it really my intermediate shaft and how long can i go about driving with this? Any repair cost estimates?

Also with this situation, when i drive around 2-3k, only between 2-3k, the car bogs sometimes as if it is trying to catch.

btw my clutch is still good.
