You can buy an OEM B16 del Sol if you don't have one yet. (EG2)

Its an easy swap if you already have a del Sol

i just installed a b18c1 in my 93 Si... and there are a few things you are going to have to do to the frame...... meaning you have to remove two pieces of metal with a grinder and both sides of the car underneath....... If you have any question just PM me...... yhis is some pic's of my car..

Are you sure you used Del Sol VTEC mounts? I've got a B18c1 in my 1993 si and with these mounts, the engine fits perfectly, no need to grind or remove anything from the frame.

To the OP, things needed for a B16 swap:
1. B series engine (OBD1 makes things a lot easier)
2. B series tranny
3. B series axles
4. Del Sol VTEC shift linkage (Del Sol VTEC ONLY)
5. Appropriate ECU for the engine you decide to buy.
6. Matching wiring harness for the engine you decide to buy.
7. Del Sol VTEC motor mounts

As far as the motor mounts, the one's from an integra would work...... but I mean as far as the tranny mount... it wouldn't fit, have to grind metal off........

I did this swap about 4 years ago. It was my first swap and everything was pretty straight forward. You need the parts that Jedi_Sol has listed. I was able to use the stock d-series engine mounts with the del sol vtec rear engine bracket that mounts to the transmission. Also, I believe del sol's are prewired for vtec from the strut tower into the car but you will need to run a knock sensor wire to the ecu. If you plan on buying a JDM motor remember the harness is reverse of the US harness so you will need to add wires to your d-series harness if it was not a vtec engine or get the appropriate harness.

You shouldn't have to cut/grind anything doing a B-series swap in a Del Sol.

X2, I swapped my B16a into a 93 Del Sol S and everything bolted right up. The car was even pre-wired for Vtec from the factory.
