Default Question: 97 civic driving problems

hey guys i have a question conserning my 1997 honda civic dx 4-door.Its got the gay d16y7 but its my daily driver so i dont really care. My problem is that when im trying to hold a consistant speed going through town at 25-30mph it feels as tho its running outta gas...then when i push the gas down just a little bit more it kinda jerks back and forth then goes. if i hold the throtle wide open it stays at a consistent rate throught the rpm range. this problems got me stumped it also does it when the cars cold. its as though theres a flat spot

if anyone has come across this,or has any ideas as to how i could corect this that would be great, thanks

Manual transmission? If so, what gear are you in when you have the problem?

Is the CEL ON? Have you inspected the plugs, cap, and rotor?

Check the plug wires and plugs, check dizzy, check throttle cable, check the throttle body for any build up, etc.

put plugs in and got the codes checked and it came up IAT (intake air temp) sensor, and secondary o2 sensor, so i checked the iat sensor and noticed that one of the two wires was infact pulled out so i re-soldered it and plug in the o2 sensor and it runs 20x better but still does it slightly every here and again.....

full tune up and replace the fuel filter if you haven't done so already also be good to clean the throttle body as well, good luck
