Default cel no code?

i have a check engine light on which won't go away. First time I checked it, it gave me a code 5. Fixed that and it fixed my idle problem but now it stays on and when I tried checking it, it doesn't give me any codes at all. Anyone know whats up?

When my old ECU was bad, it did this same thing with the CEL and no codes.

It could be something else, but based on my experiences your ECU might be F'd up.

Wait... did you reset the ECU after you took care of the idle problem?

Just did that, it didn't work.

I did fix it though. Apparently the light turns off when you take out the jumper wire. lol
