sooooooo many options. Do you have a goal in mind? How fast do you want to go? Are you planning on going fast in a straight line, or do you plan to throw some curves in there.

Asking what you can do to make your motor faster is such a broad question. ..

i have a B20B in my coupe right now for a beater while i rebuild my GSR, the B20 has a milled head, 2 layer head gasket, crower stg2 cams and a RMF drag header. its mated with a JDM ITR trans with a 4.9 FD. it went 13.89 on falken azenis 205-50-15. but its not set up for 1/4 mile i just wanted to see what it had, its fun to drive and i still run it on mid grade. fairly cheap to do, total cost was like 400 bucks, used cams on craigslist FTW, but the possibilities are endless like aasarsak said, if you got the ching ching build a beast B20 vtec if you plan on hitting up the twisties.

Your car should be able to run in the 13s the way it is. I mean with any skill, and some stickies of course. I had a bone stock LS/VTEC with basic bolt ons (IHE) and I ran 13.5 in my hatchie on slicks, so your B20 (after you put a VTEC head on it) should be able to do at LEAST 13.5 or better. Like raidakipo said, just slap a VTEC head on there, and call it a day. It's a pretty simple thing to do, and you will not be dissapointed with the power gain.

Oh, one thing that I almost forgot to mention. I was running like 13.8 and 13.7 until I looked at the video of my launch. I noticed that my back end was dipping down a LOT on takeoff, so I picked up a set of Tokico Illumina struts, and I set them to 5 (hardest) in the back and 3 (medium) in the front. That modification alone dropped my 1/4 mile time by almost 1/2 a second.

Traction, and launch RPM are very crutial. I have seen a lot of guys drop thousands on beefing up their motors when they forget about the small stuff. After the suspension upgrade, I watched the video, and my back end did not dip at all. It was straight solid.

As for launch RPM, I would take your car to do a couple of passes on the dyno to find where your peak HP occurs. Mine was at 7200 RPM, so I would launch at around 7600 RPM because by the time my tires grabbed the pavement, I was still within my powerband, then I just power shift at 7400 - 7600 RPM.

One last note, do not try to launch with your RPM that high unless you are on slicks or something very close to it like those BF Goodridge drag radials or whatever they're called I forgot, otherwise your tires will never grab, and you will just sit there spinning your weels.

Hope this helps.

Good luck buddy.
