yeah you either change the dizzy or get a conversion kit, make sure you got a rear mount off of a 99-00 si or crv. As for the alternator, check the plug if it's the same as your obd1 plug, it should work.

Before this thread gets out of hand, there are a couple ways of doing this.

If you get the full engine harness from a USDM Integra, everything will be plug and play with the '97 parts. The JDM harness is different, because the ECU is on the other side of the car, as well as the plugs leading to it.

If you want to use your stock OBD1 harness, then the OBD2 distributor, alternator and injectors all have different plugs.

that link really didnt help me much. they were talking about b16. i have a 18b, i know that the harness will plug into my car and the ecu will plug in, but will it run,and will i have a perm check light? there has to be an adapter harness if it wont plug and play. i really need someone who has done this swap.

By and large all B-series swaps are the same. The only thing different about a B16 swap over a B18A or B18B is the additional wiring for vtec and knock sensor. As CivicSpoon said the easiest way (by far) is to simply use a USDM OBD2A ('96 - '99) integra engine harness, 100% direct plug and play! (00 - '01 harnesses will work, but you will need to add the tach signal wire) As far as the ECU goes use an OBD1 P74 (92 - '93 Integra RS/LS/GS) or an OBD1 P75 ('94 - '95 Integra RS/LS/GS/SE)

thanks for the info. the motor harness and ecu all came out of the same car. and yes it was usdm. so why do i need to get an odb1 ecu. i was told that the only difference was a cam sensor. And if i do have use a odb1 ecu wont i need an odb2 distributor? so does any one have a 93-95 ecu for me. i am more than willing to trade mine for a ob1.

Its actually a Crank Fluctation sensor on the oil pump, but theres more to it than that. The OBD2 ECU is also going to look for secondary O2 sensor (not a huge deal to wire in, but still something that must be dealt with) And finally heres the big one. OBD2 integra ECUs also look for a fuel pressure sensor on the fuel tank, this basically requires you to swap out the fuel tank and wire up the sensor to prevent a CEL. And then of course theres the fact that you need to buy the conversion harness to be able to plug the OBD2 ECU into the OBD1 civic underdash harness. At the end of the day its easier and cheaper to go with an OBD1 ECU.

I assume you mean OBD1 distributor, but your answer is no. OBD1 and OBD2 B and D-series distributors are electronically identical, literally the only difference is the actual plug(s) where the distributor connects to the engine harness, the sensors themselves are identical.

You can (and should) use the '97 'teg harness. Although you technically can use the P28, you shouldn't. You will throw 2 CELs for vtec, and the ECU wont have the correct fuel and timing maps for the B18B. Again to reiterate simply use an OBD1 P74 or P75 ECU, alternatively you can use a P06 ECU from a '92 - '95 DX/LX civic chipped with P75 maps. Since seeing is believing below are a few pics of a USDM OBD2 Integra engine harness plugged into an OBD1 Civic chassis harness. (pics courtesy of B18C5-EH2)

No. You should check the H-T marketplace, I suspect you will find someone selling an OBD1 P74 or P75 ECU.
