Brand new. Put them in today.
The guy at the shop told me to grab the whole threaded sleeve and turn it while the car is jacked up.
I turn towards up and nothing happens. I loosed up the screw too, nothing. Turned 20 times, it just stays there. Then I go to the other side and I was able to drop it about 1/2" (I turn towards where it says UP) but on that side I can't tighten the screw anymore. Is it stripped already? Am I doing it right? How come the other side just turns and turns and it doesn't lower?
Do I have to jack it up so much so the spring is not compressed? The fricking instruction don't tell you jack about lowering it or raising it!!
thanks guys

1. loosen the screw
2. grab threaded sleeve to keep it still
3. spin that gold collar to the right to raise car, and spin it to left to lower car.
4. when you reach desired setting, tighten screw. not too tight or you'll strip it. just snug .
5. lower car and check if it's even.
6. if it requires additional adjustments, raise car and repeat from step 1 again.

Hey Teken, how 've you been buddy? I 'm around but not as often. I post at least once a week.. The wife 's been bitching that I spend too much time on the PC
I guess your is more forgiving
Yeah I was doing all that.. grabbing the threaded sleeve and attempting to turn the gold collar. That's how I had gotten the one side to drop.
After I submitted this post I took a deep breath and said to my self "this sh*t 's gotta be simple.. I 'm not waiting for a reply on H-T.." So I lit a cigarette, sat there & looked at it for a minute. I then figured let me jack the side that was working back up so the car is even. As I 'm turning the collar it tightened up all of a sudden and then it loosened up again. So then it dawned on me that maybe I wasn't turning hard enough on the other side. So I go to other side, and it took almost all my strength to turn the gold collar but it started turning! Once I had turned it once or twice it got much easier and then I was able to do it with very little force. The same with the rear ones. It took almost all my strength to turn them initially but after 2 turns they loosened up a lot and became a breeze after that.
I wonder if I should be greasing or oiling the threded sleeves? It almost looks like debris gets on the sleeves (or just small particles, sand, dust, etc.) and it makes it very hard to turn the collar. This may also strip the collar over time, if I keep messing with the height all the time.
Thanks for the help anyway!

Yeah I don't have much patience anymore like I used to
That's what happens when you get older!
Well the new setup worked out well. Went racing the next day with the SCCA NY Region and did really well. I was in the top 10 out of 120+ drivers. Too bad I was all by myself in DSP. I tend not to push myself as much when I don't have competition.
Don't worry, I 'll be around more now that I know I was missed
I looked at my profile the other day and I 've been a member for like 930 days. That's at least 3yrs if you count how many times H-T's server used to crash in the beginning and we had to re-register. Plus I was with H/A for almost a year before the "great schism" and the inception of H-T.. Many of the old timers are gone but I 'm still hanging around. There's always something to learn and I still have much advice to give. I actually hang out more at the racing forum..
Where did the "evil" come from? Teken too plain and had to add some spice to it?
