Back ground...

I got a 94 Civic VX Hatch
Got a Obd2 GSR Motor but wired it up with a OBD1 harness
It ran great for months, pulled a code for O2 sensor which I don't even have at the moment so I'm not worried about that.

Well the other day my dumbass used my car to jump my truck off and I was working too fast and ended up hooking up pos-pos and neg-neg on the car but I ****ed up and put pos-neg and neg-pos on the truck.

Well, my car started to run funny and then died on me. I figured out what I did with reversing the polarity and about **** myself. My truck runs fine but the car wont run.

I talked to several people and they said I most likely fried my computer. So I got a new computer, couldn't find a P72 so I now have a chipped P06 to a GSR basemap.

This is not fixing my problem. If I can get it to run it runs for about 5-10 seconds before dieing again. I have checked every fuse in the car and everything looks good.

Codes as of right now...
O2 sensor - not worried about it, haven't had one in a few months
IAT sensor - from what I read, it won't cause a car to not run or run rough

Anything you guys can give me would be awesome...

 

you might have F***ed up you alternator.

 

I guess that could be a possibility... I have had it run for up to 2-3 minutes before it died again... I could take it off and get it tested at the parts store.... Might as well try it...

 

just check ur voltage at the battery with the car running .. should be 13.5 -14.5v to rule out your alternator.

 

Had the alternator bench checked at the parts store.... checked good

Edit: I have had the car running a couple times more than 5 seconds... Once it ran for about 3 minutes and then gradually died. When it did run it ran very smooth as usual. That times I didn't mess with it just let it idle. A couple other times it idled great gave it some gas - ran fine till it started dieing. Any time giving it gas while it was dieing was like it was bogging it down. I'm guessing that it could be sensors but they aren't throwing codes.

 

check your dizzy and ignition coil.
maybe those burned since you crossed the terminals
