I got aftermarket O2 sensors , the wire colors are not the same as the stock ones,I gave it a shot and it didnt pull a CEL. would a miswiring cause my car to run rich, without a CEL on?

usually it will throw a code if theres somethin wrong with the 02....why do you expect the car is running rich?

my turbo glows red after i run the car normally
this is a VW passat 1.8T stock except intake and test pipe.
I do get a MAF sensor trouble which iknow does make it run more fuel, but i guessed on the O2 wiring so i didnt know if that could effect it too

dude i wouldnt know where to start to check for codes...im guessing you need a diagnostics tool for it to run it for codes...i thought it was a honda....i think your best bet is to take it to the dealer and have them looki over it...i know its expensive, but german engineering is pretty difficult to learn, but if you know how to do it, have at it man....i honestly cant say what the problem is because i dont know V Dubs very well...sorry man

OK heres the codes i got from my code reader: P1196, P1198 , They were saying manufacturer fuel and air metering malfunction, I thought it was MAF turns out i look up the codes on http://www.bentleypublishers.c...e.htm
and its both O2 sensors malfunctioning, meaning i have 2/4 wires messed up!
