Icon6 Thrown rod B18C1, fairwell GS-R :'(

Ok I thrown a rod out the front of my block today (96 B18C1) and what excitement, lmao atleast thats what the driver of an escalade that was behind me was probably thinking, lol. But anyways, going to tear down the block and see if the head is still good, if so its up for grabs,MAYBE. Thinking about an ITR swap, which its going into a 99 Civic Si. But if the head is good, I might invest into a b20 ls/vtec conversion. Any suggestions would be nice guys. I know I would/could save alot buy building a b20 ls/vtec but I need longivity aswell in a motor, but a sweet rev from a type r is always a plus. ANY good how to ls/vtec conversions on here I looked but most are asking question instead of a how-to. ANY tips of the trade. Thanks guys.

depends on your plans man. you said reliablity rite so go with a stock motor. if you got the funds then get a itr. if not, build it up.

if the head is good just get a bare block and build it up. an itr swap is expensive and it not going to be that great in a si because they are kind of heavy. your going to run mid/high 14s and your going to spend at least 2500-3000 on a itr motor/trans. get hi compression pistons or build for boost. for the head i would get a itr valve train with some good cams. just giving my $.02
