Yoyo, Got a maplight off my '94 GSR sedan and I'm trying to install it in my '93 Ex Coupe. I already had the mounting bracket for it so it all bolted up but as soon a I hook up the power wire to the 12v constant for the dome light, it pops my fuse. Gone through a few fuses now trying different things. Why won't it just work?

 

touching metal and grounding and popping a fuse perhaps ? or maybe just wrong wires ?

 

I tested the wires I'm hooking it up to. Definitely the dome light's 12v. I'll check to see if its ground out anywhere...maybe tape off the whole housing. Thanks for the reply!

 

Sounds like you are grounding out the 12v wire. I did this install in my old 92 Civic. I tapped the white/blue wire running down behind the a-pillar cover.

 

Yup Yup, The wire I ran for the 12v was being pinched by the sunroof motor. It's a pretty tight spot. Taped it up and re-routed a little bit and everything works now. Looks almost stock. Thanks for the help guys!
