Icon6 Help! Another blown oil pump

this is the 2nd oil pump that went bad on me on a stock gsr. the car was normally driven. the 1st pump wore out and showed low oil pressure. i changed it out and everything seemed fine except it started throwing the vtec oil pressure code. took it to the dealer after running out of ideas and they said it was showing low oil pressure again. there was never and gold flakes in the oil or in the pan. never had any knocking either.

could there be something wrong with the engine making the oil pumps go bad? or do i just have **** luck with my oil pumps?

Anything done to the motor? Any previous internal work or aftermarket crank pulley? Do you have the old oil pump? If so I would take it appart and see how it wore, you may have improper thrust clearance in the crank, alowing it too much movement which can destroy a pump.

you need to verify actual oil pressure to see if you actually have a pressure issue. the helms manual shows how to check runout and how to check the crank journal that slides inside the pump.
