i Have a 4.5 psi spring with my tial wastegate, i was wondering if there is a limit you can push through it.. someone told me they had a 4.5psi spring in there wastegate an was pushing over 30 pounts.. true or false?

 

You would need a really good boost controller to start off with..

 

you most likely wont push over 25psi without using CO2.

 

well i have a turbosmart dual stage boost controller.. i ordered my turbo kit from peakboost and i planned on running a stock b16 bottom end so didnt need a big spring since i can only push so much through the stock block.. but now i am thinking about doing a piston an rod combo so i will be able to push more boost through the motor so i was just making sure there isnt a limit with the spring.. but i dont think i will be pushing 25psi with a 57 trim lol..

 

umm 23psi on a 57 trim with 110octane is actually pretty cool 0

 

you can go 2.5 times the pressure of the spring... a bit over 11.25psi of boost.

 

Shodan's got it pretty much. Depending on the setup you may be able to get it to hold 3x but it's going to have issues well before 20psi regardless.
