Default Rough shifting

Hey all, got an interesting issue with my shifter atm. everytime i shift into 2,4,6,R the shift feels really rough and it isnt as smooth as shifting into 1,3,5 gears. I havent heard any grinding noises from under the car or anything, and when i get into the gears, the car drives fine and accelerates perfectly. should i change the transmission fluid or flush it...or is there something else going on? would appreciate some feed back. thx in advance

Do you have a CAI?? Or did you do any sort of work in the shif linkage area lately? Sounds like your linkage where it attaches to the tranny might be hitting something. Look in that area.. does it feel heavy when putting into those problem gears?

yes actually, i have an Injen CAI. Though this is the first time its happened. I had the CAI installed in april of last year and have never had this problem till now. Also, yea it feels really rough and takes a little bit of force to get it into the 2,4,6, R gears. However, the tranny hasnt been flushed since i bought the car in Feb of last year, might be due for one.

Well if all the odd number gears work fine then its not the fluid. I going to guess that the intake is the culprit. It might have come loose or moved. Ok do this... put it in 1st gear and look to see where the shift linkage is. Then put in second and see if it touches the intake. This happened to me so i had to move mine around a little bit till it cleared.

No its right where the stock airbox is located. It actually sits under the airbox on the tranny. There are two cables... those move back and forth. If there is an extra person tell them to go and go through the gears while you make sure its not hitting anything.
