Default Precision billet 6262 DBB vs. non dbb

What are the spool differences between the billet 6262s dbb vs. non dbb? It is going on a 83mm ls vtec
9:1 cp pistons
eagle rods
gsr crank
benson sleeve
supertech valvetrain
gsr cams(for now)
peakboost top mount

It is a street driven car that see's alot of time at the track. Is the DBB worth the extra $400?

Also is my fuel system good enough to max that turbo out?
bosch 044 with a -8 feed line (will upgrade to -10 if neccesary)
1600cc injectors
E85

E85

No, that turbo makes 750+whp according to the Mitsu crowd, and to make 750whp on E85 requires a fuel system for 1000-1100hp using Gasoline.

Put a second 044 pump in the equation and you will be able to ring this turbo out. It is deff a really nice turbo, i tuned one this afternoon that made 430hp 3xxtq on a bone stock b16 engine with 93 pump gas. Full spool was actually decent. Ill see if i can get the graph up tomorrow for you guys.

I vote for the ball bearing 6262.

Yes it is the new billet wheel.

Would the fuel system be sufficient if i added another bosch 044 and t'd it together and then ran a -10 to the rail. -8 return. 1600cc injectors?

I have a billet 6265 .82 t3 hotside I shall be playing with on my 2.2.... journal bearing. Should be interesting, just need to tie up some loose ends and it goes on the trailer down to t1 for a retune.

Cant wait to see what happens.

These have had some great power in other applications and so far I hear good thing in this community about the few around so far. I REALLY look forward to seeing the results on a honda from the billet 6765... so far AMS is the only ones with one as far as I know. It is over 850awhp so far in testing information released by AMS.

Because the billet stuff is making big power for its size, there are alot of benefits from billet compressor wheels.

do you have anymore detailed info? From what i am seeing they are making on average 50whp more than non billet versions of the same turbo and on average seem to flow a few cfm more, while that's great for the drag racer thats confined to turbo size rules i can't see how that effects the typical street guy that drags for fun... The cost just doesnt justify it for me...

From what i've seen/heard, the 6262s runs about $950 and a quite a few people have made over 700whp with them, a few have made 750 and someone made 785whp with it and ran 8's in a evo in street trim. From the graphs I've seen, they have a ridiculous powerband also.

Billet wheels are used to create sizes and profiles that are not normally used in the Garrett/BW/Holset/Mitsu/IHI camps. It helps the big guys to experiment with different combinations that will cost the company a little less money than to have to pay high amounts to the major manufacturers for these different designs. Because there are limited amount ordered at a time from the aftermarket companies, one must maximize the margin for each unit sold, hence the higher cost. Powerwise, its not really that different than the inconel material, and it is the design of the wheel that helps with the power output.

To add onto that, it allows easy prototyping because a mold doesn't have to be made to cast out each new design

Are we not talking about the compressor side here? I highly doubt that anyone uses inconell for compressor wheels.. The billet wheels are made of aluminum on the compressor side...

Is there billet inconell wheels for the exhaust side also?
