I have no idea...

phearable is a good company...I would contact them. They have a great reputation and I have never heard a bad word about them.

You didn't install a ZIF?

you have to install more than just the chip

you have to put 0.1uf capacitors on C51 and C52, a 1k ohm resistor on R54, a jumper on J1, and install some other weird chip next to the 28 pin chip.

and +1 on the ZIF... now you're gonna have to desolder the chip if you ever swap chips or get a tune

why didn't you buy the kit? ...

Copied straight from phearable.net's tech section:

lol, yeah you need those capacitors, the resistor, the IC chip (74HC373), and most importantly, you need the jumper (plain wire, no resistance) across J1. The jumper J1 is what turns the whole fuel map on!

the capacitors are not a must have, although you shuould use them.
The ecu is not set-up to run vtec either, dont know if you got a vtec chip or not.

0.1uf capacitors (2 of them) on C51 and C52,
1k ohm resistor on R54
a jumper on J1 (use leftover leg from the resistor)
IC 74HC373 (IDK what that means and if it's the name of the chip or what... I just bought the kit)... idk if radioshack has these because idk what that technically means.

also try to get a ZIF socket.
