power steering question

Default power steering question

i just put in power steering into my 00 EK. for some reason it still feel like i have no power steering. i put in two bottles of ps fluid and turned the steering wheel to right and left like 30 times. feels like i dont even have ps. what could of gone wrong? i have no leaks. could have gotten a bad rack? or bad pump? help me out asap. let me know what i need to do.

anyone?

well i tried to flush the system. i had the engine running. then i unplugged the hose going into the reservoir and had the steering wheel turned left and right for about five times. fluid came out the first turn. after that nothing came out. so no fluid is pumped back into the reservoir. could it be that my pump is not working?

Yes, it could be bad.

Are you 100% certain that everything is installed as it should be? Or are there doubts?

because it doesnt work...i am beginning to doubt i got the hoses on wrong...but can it be possible to have it on wrong? and no it doesnt make noises when i turn. so youre thinking its the pump also?

problem solved...i retighten the belt and let the car idle a few minutes. turns like a champ.
