Default power steering

i got the 95dx model which doesnt come with power steering.

yeah i know less weight (like ten pounds) but its not worth it to me. its a complete pain in the *** to turn or anything. its just annoying.

my question is how hard is it to instal a power steering pump into a car that was made without one.

well it takes money and time... you will need the following:

1.power steering rack and pinion
2.power steering pump
3.power steering lines
4.power steering reservoir
5.power steering belt

what is your mechanical skill level? i would say im about a 6/10, and i put ps in my ek. ran into a few problems here and there, because i had no diy to go off of. but i finished in 8 hours. should only take about roughly 2-3 hours now that i know how to do it. if you need any help just ask. you need everything ek9rider listed above.

heres a few tips if you attempt it.

remember to turn your steering wheel all the way to the left to get your rack off and on.
and after installation, rev your engine to about 3k rpm and turn your steering wheel all the way to the left and right to have the fluid cycle through the rack. it took me a long time to figure that out.

my mechanical level is about a 6/10 also. Im learning as i go. me and my friends basically figure everything out on our own haha...(not always the best plan lol. my first civic that i had 2 years ago i painted the valve cover red. didnt put it back on right, so the seal wasnt on right...drained my motor of oil and i blew the motor that night!!!!!! Never made a stupid error since haha)
