Default Rebuilding your own strut.

Just wondering if anyone has done this before, I've rebuilt some aircraft struts before on small aircraft such as Cessna 172's and its pretty easy checking the metering valve and everything but I haven't really ripped apart a vehicle's strut before.

Assuming you can get the correct size o-rings and everything any one ever attempted it before and perhaps can provide some feedback on the process? (Tokico Illumina by the way)

Only serviceable shocks can be rebuilt. Not all shocks/struts are serviceable.

There is a write-up around here somewhere about rebuilding Bilstein shocks, but searching is a pretty much useless endeavor these days.
