Default Rough start!!!!

ok here is my problem everytime when the engine is cold lets say in the morning i go to start my car (EG coupe w/ 94 LS motor) and it takes a while to start. engine is cracking but no start when the car does start after so many cranks the car runs rough way below idle car sounds like it wants to turn off, lets say 300 rpm. then i try to give it gas when at low idle and the car shuts right off but if i leave it to idle low for a 2-3 min the car jumps to normal idle. this olny happens when the engine is cold if say i start my car and go some where turn the car off then get back in the car the it starts up fine. if anyone has any info it would really help. thanks!

PGM-FI Main Relay, first thing I would check...
http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/mainrelay.html

Cold solder connections or poor connections are effected by temperature ans temp. drops metal contracts and connections can become poor or broken completely.

The above link to the "fix" is easy to do and should be done if for no other reason then to eliminate the PGM-FI Main Relay as the problem.

You could also get a fuel pressure gauge and install it, that way you can see what the pressure is when you are having the starting/idling problem, good pressure at all times will only indicate that the fuel pump relay, [and connections to the circuit board] in the PGM-FI Main Relay are good, not if the injector relay and connections are good, [also in the PGM-FI Main Relay].94
