b16a swap questions!!
alright fellas i've been on honda-acura.net and a few other sites and i've found some info out but not enough to help me. but this is what ive got, i recently just bought a jdm obd0 b16a out of a integra xsi, i'm wanting to convert it over to atleast obd1 so i can run it in my 99 civic ex, im going to reuse my stock harness and i have basically everything to do it but i keep running into the same problem again and again. but here it goes, how do i go about rewiring for the crank sensor on the b16 since i hear that it is in the dizzy and the d16y8 crank sensor is on the side?? i know i might be confusing someone but how do i go about rewiring it to get it to run?? the cars down right now but i need to figure this one out asap. also i bought a obd2b jumper for the dizzy to convert it to obd1 from rywire.com. but like i said my real question here is what the hell do i do about that crank sensor????? thanks in advance i really appreciate it!!
i dunno about obd0. Im not sure what sensors it runs. if it does run one then just get a OBD1 crank sensor and put it there.
Ok you car is obd2, your motor obd0, you need to convert the engine to obd1, because obd1 has the crank angle sensor inside the dizzy, get a obd2 to obd1 obd adapter and a obd1 p30 ecu and you should be fine, ohh yeah and you could still run your stock EX wiring.

ok i think i have it figured out, i jst went and bought a 95 del slo dizzy (b16) and im going to run a p28 with a jumper harness for right now!! i already have the obd2b to obd1 dizzy jumper so i should be fine with this setup right?? since the p28 dont look for a crankshaft position sensor this setup should be fine right?? thanks in advance for the help guys i have to have this in and running before monday!!

You mean the CKF sensor? The one that's on the crank pulley of the Y8?
You wire crimp the CKF into the CKP at the ECU. This allows you to pass emissions with an OBD2 ECU. It won't matter when you have an OBD1 ECU in there. The OBD1 ECU does not look for a CKF.
If this is the sensor you're talking about, it's just a fluctuation (misfire) sensor to meet OBD2 regulations. If this is what you need, when I get home, I'll copy and paste you a link to rewiring the CKF since the search feature is not working.

yea thats exactly what im talking about, i heard that it wont fire if its not wired in, but like i said im going obd1 all the way so i shouldn't have to worry about any of that am i right?? also since ill be running the p28 for right now i should be able to just let the wire hang there freely?? im from ohio so i dont have to worry about the emissions.

Even if you have an OBD2 ECU, the car will run fine without a CKF. It will set a CEL, though.
With an OBD1 ECU, it won't even look for the CKF. So you don't need it at all. You can throw it at cars, whip it at people, throw it under a bus....the ECU won't care.
You don't need it for OBD1 ECUs at all.

I dunno about that. I remember in Katman CKF fix write up the car is supposed to run like crap without the CKF sensor using a USDM OBD2 ECU.
