Default Questions About Swap (buying from HMO)

I have a 93' del sol s, and my b7 is dying on me, so my swap is coming a bit sooner than i was originally gonna do it. (was gonna be this summer). Originally I wanted a D16z6, but I can't come by anything even close to reasonable around here so, I called HMO to see what they could do for me. They don't have a z6 (i figured they wouldn't), but what he said is that they have a D15B long block and a D16a long block. from what i have read and what the guy told me, the d16a is the same as a z6. the thing i'm worried about is that its a long block, and i'm not quite sure what else i'm going to need to buy, and how much its gonna be. I know i'm gonna need an ECU, but i don't know if that would come with a wiring harness or not. I plan on just using the tranny from my b7, so i don't need to worry about that. Other than that, it seems like the long block from HMO comes with everything else i need? He sounded like he was really busy so i really didn't wanna bug him with a bunch of questions, but you guys deal with HMO a lot so i figured you could answer them as well.

Other than that, the thing i need to decide on is the d15b or d16a. the d16a is $100 more he said, but i'm not sure if its really that much better that the d15b or not. One thing to take into consideration is that i plan on turboing it this summer, and i know the z6 is what i was looking for to turbo, so assuming the d16a is the same that would be fine, but i havn't come across anything as to how the d15b fares when turbo'd

single cam d16 zc for teh winzors! MUCH quicker than stock, and gets better gas mileage. Plus, they are pretty good with boost.

is the d16a what they stamped on the block of the vtec sohc zc? or are they two different things. this d16a thing is kind of confusing, i've never heard of it before this, hell its not even on wikipedia! lol

dunno.. i'd have to look, but it's dark right now. It probably is, since there isn't a whole lot of info on the d16zc out on the internet...

no you're fine. the d16a is available in both vtec and non-vtec variants. the vtec d16a is pretty much equivalent to the usdm d16z6. d16a has a 9.4:1 c/r, z6's is 9.2:1. if it were me i'd go with the d16a.
