DIY: jdm amber clock! for $1.67!
well here's a thread about how to make your 92-95 clock amber for cheap! and its simple. i was bored so i made a DIY out of it!
first, you go to walmart, or staples probably, (its too late for me staples was closed) and get a pack of binder separators, (i paid a grand total of $1.67)

take out your guage bezel in which your clock is attatched to, (most of you should know how to do this)
then there are 3 screws holding your clock in circled in green on the picture below

unscrew these as such,

then you remove these 4 tabs, 2 on top 2 on bottom, (if you got a decent fingernail, you can pull them up with it. haha)

then you grab your yellow tab,

trim it to size

get a red one and do the same to it ( the pack i bought didnt have orange so i had to make it =\ )
then put them together, grab a piece of tape and tape it to the back of the clock glass like so

then ya snap it back together,

put the screws back in the clock, put in your guage bezel (if you dont want the clock to dim when lights are on, cut the red with black wire on the clock plug, and tape off.) plug it in and VIOLA! your done! and it looks like this!

[apologies for the shitty pictures.]

no actually, i did the gauge cluster with 6 24na bulbs, and popped em in there and that job was done, they're really orange, and it matches the clock well, im gonna try to get the climate control tomorrow with a sharpie. i hear that works well, but well see. i might have to get at it with some fingernail polish but well try the sharpie first. ill let you guys know how that goes haha
Was it a pain in the *** to unplug the plug from the climate control. I tried once and I couldn't do it. I need to get off my *** and try it again when I get my car running.

yes it definately was, cause i pulled a NOOB and took my whole f u c k ing dash out to get the Climate Control out. lol im retarded, then after i did all that, i couldnt find ANYWHERE in my town that sold the size of bulb in amber. talk about a waste of 6 hours. haha
FYI to the guy that pulled his dash out and couldnt find amber bulbs for climate control...
1.) pull stock bulbs out
2.) go to michaels
3.) buy a can of Testors model car paint (Competition orange #1628)... like 4 bucks
4.) spray 3 coats, 5 minutes apart
5.) allow to dry, then stick em back in
easy DIY amber gauges and climate control, i did em in my ej1. i also did the rear defroster and cruise control buttons.
