Default crome/injector size/fuel multiplier

i have an 8 psi tune on 440cc injectors at 55psi fuel

i wish to turn up the boost

is it better to turn fuel pressure up and tune for a higher boost or is it more accurate of a tune if i keep fuel pressure lower and up the size of injectors

also is it harder to tune with larger injectors???

i hear anything over 450cc's on crome becomes in accurate

You can't simply turn up the fuel pressure to tune a vehicle.
You must tune the engine management (ecu).

Keep in mind the stock map sensor is only good up to 11 psi.

motorola 2.5

anyways i am not saying to tune a car is by turning up fuel pressure

i was asking if its better to tune with 450's and turn up fuel pressure
or leave fuel pressure at 50 and tune with 525's

also need answers for other questions aswell

You can tune injectors larger then 450cc in crome without a problem.

You don't want to overload an injector with fuel pressure to try and get more power out of it, you would want to upgrade the injector size.

450cc injectors can handle around 300 whp without any issues.

its not really harder to tune with larger injectors, once you get the EMS set up properly for the injectors you are using.

I've used 1000cc injectors with crome without any real problems, and I'm sure there are people who've used larger injectors too.

I personally like to leave some room with injectors, so if you wanna make 300whp sure 450s can do that, but they'll be running high duty cycles, so I'd prefer to use 550s so you're not running the injectors so hard.

As for turning the fuel pressure up, to me, thats a last ditch effort to squeeze a little more power out of injectors that are too small for a setup....which is something I'll never really do. You'll be working the fuel pump harder too by running a higher fuel pressure.

if i ran 525's or 550's how would i knwo what the injector/battery offset would be??

also fuel 2.0 on crome wont work for me or my tuner to enter i/b offset in there anyways

why is that?

it must be some sort of "bug" with the program?

we both have version 1.2

I find if you install Fuel Tools 2.0 BEFORE installing Boost Tools weird **** like that happens.

The last time I used crome, it was with version 1.5 and the i/b offset worked fine for me. Maybe 1.2 doesn't have the i/b offset presets?

I've always found that the preset i/b offsets in crome need some massaging, so I couldn't tell you exact numbers that will work.

If you have decent injectors and a decent fuel system, you can run really high fuel pressure, and get better atomization.. I tuned two cars today at 90-100psi base fuel pressure, granted that was with the new Injector Dynamics 1000cc injectors that can handle that (and flow over 1500cc/min at that pressure), but still, it can be done and work well.

Not sure I'd try it on Crome, but I don't use Crome anyway.
