would be nice if you help yourself with the FAQ post in order to know more about the b series

The numbers are ok. They're within spec as far as the difference between lowest and highest readings between cylinders go.
It's hard to tell how a new head and new gasket will affect the numbers unless you do a leakdown test. If you are losing compression from your gasket/valves/crack in head then your replacements will help. If you are losing compression through your rings, it's not gonna do much.

I would not have suspected a blown head gasket from those numbers. I'm guessing it's not breached immediately around any of the cylinders. Perhaps the HG breached just between an oil passage and the water jacket?

thanks and GL with the head swap. just remember to torque everything to spec and in the correct sequence and double check that you get that timing belt on right.
also, if that rebuilt head is milled, expect your compression readings to go up a bit just cuz of that.
