blue/yellow and blue/green left over???
i am doing an obd0 to obd1 dizzy conversion. i have the blue/yellow and blue/green wire left over anyone know what these go to? TIA.
From boomslang:
Looks like they go to the ECU
• DPFI vehicles ONLY: Splice the blue/green wire and
blue/yellow wire coming from the 4-position connector on the
supplied sub-harness to the blue/green and blue/yellow wires
on the distributor plug (engine side).

yeah boomslang is what i followed to do the wiring in the first place. i'm using the obd0 dizzy plugs. this is just temporary til i get a harness. but i don't see anywhere the blue/green wire and the blue/yellow wire hook up they aren't on the obd0 clip.
ok well i found this on another site but they are saying that those two wires go to the c1 and c2 pin on the ecu. anyone heard this?
the stock dx dizzy is what i was running until i got my obd1 that goes with the head. i now have a y8 dizzy. all i need to know is where these two wires go.

If you look at a schematic diagram of the distributor it would tell you:
BLU/YEL -> CYL = Cylinder Position Sensor
BLU/GRN -> CYL = Cylinder Position Sensor
The reason they are left over is because your harness doesn’t have wires for them to mate up with. You could find most of this in the FAQ area: DPFI -> MPFI.
I hope this helps.

run the to pins b15 and b16 on ur ecu if u look at the obd1 ecu pinout and look at pin b15 and b16 it would say: B15-CKP P CKP(crank position) -P Blu/Green, CKP Sensor input, n/a
B16-CKP M CKP -M Blu/yel, CKP Sensor signal, n/a

well i got a p28 ecu if it would make it any easier. but i haven't got the jumper harness i'm still gathering parts for my mpfi swap.
well i have got everything but the ecu jumper harness and the dizzy harness. besides that i got everything. just waiting til friday to order that. but i just put the factory dizzy back on that was working before and hooked it all back up correctly and the car will not turn over now. wtf. its one problem after another.
Yeah, your trying to do an OBD1 swap with an OBD2 distributor. You need an OBD1 distributor, those wires go to the cylinder position sensor which is located at the front of the crankshaft on a D16y8, not in the distributor as it is for OBD0/OBD1.
oh ok. well thanks for all the help. but i have another problem my car wont start after all this. i hooked the obd0 dizzy back up that was working before and now the car wont even try and turn over.
check your fuses, grounds, starter, and battery connections. recheck your wiring. obviously it is something you did, so go over all of it again, and again, until it works. Oh, and pray that you didn't fry something.
I'm not up to date on the SOHC engines, but if his distributor has the wires doesn’t that mean the sensor's in the distributor?
…and I should have clarified my reference was to the harness side of the car not the distributor.
This is a rhetorical question... ;-)

i just finished my mpfi swap yesterday, my car turns over fine, runs for a little then dies.....and yes the blue/green, blue/yellow go through the firewall and into the ecu! oh and u need a four wire o2 sensor, do u have that?
ok well i just tested my starter and i straight wired it and it crunk right up. so i'm not getting power to my starter. then the plug wires i put them on wrong cause its raining and i was in a hurry. then i tried to move the plug wires, while the car was running... not a very good idea, i just figured that one out. but anyways so the engine died and now it will turn over but it just sounds like something is being sucked into the intake. kinda like a boom.
