Icon6 MAP problem

Alright here's the deal...driving back to school. droe it for and hour and had to stop to take a ****. Car running like normal. Come back out and start it and check engine comes on so i stop and a gas station and jump the ecu. The code its reading is 5 which is the Map..so check the sensor and its tight on there, still plugged in, and i check jus to see if any randoms were unplugged and everything looks good. Yesterday i switched out the sensor and unplugged the battery for 15min. Start the car after that and still have a check engine. Car runs normal with no problems...so confused and seeing if anyone has any ideas..o and the map sensor washer is good too..i check that. If anyone has any ideas that would be great. The motor is a b16a.

Thanks, Andrew

you might need to adjust the map sensor with a volt meter. mine was off, its supposed to read .45v at closed throttle and 4.5 at wot. if you don't know how I can tell you.

That's the TPS not MAP.

You should measure 5V reference voltage at one of the pins of MAP wire harness connector. If you don't, the wire or the ECU could be bad.

Yea my tps is dialed..did that when i put on the intake mani. Ok so got down to school tonight again and check engine on the whole time. Shut the car off to unload on my stuff and then went back and started my car and no check engine. So drove it around and still nothing...wtf. I'm confused. Called one of my buddies that knows the whole situation and he didn't get it either. Its like the code cleared itself. I know that sounds retarded but you all know how all this crap goes. So if anyone has any idea of what is goin on it would help. the car will be started again at the end of the week so if it ends up coming on i will definitley be postin again.

Yeah, I should have been specific. Check for 5V between the Yel/Red and Grn/Wht wires of the wire harness connector for the MAP sensor.
