depends....what block and search for what other people have done and what your head block combo gives you for compression and reliability of the block the z6 should do ok for maybe 10pd reliable but it all comes down to the block....is it worth it? maybe depends on how much the kit will cost and how much life the block has high mileage isnt a good idea....in my opinion better off starting with an ls and boosting that...more torque and alot of people here have gotten some nice numbers out of them boosting stock blocks.

^maybe reliable on 10 pounds? do you know this means nothing without knowing what size turbo he would be running? as far as mileage on the block it really doesnt matter, if he does a compression check and is anywhere above 160 psi on all 4 he should be pretty safe to boost. Also if motor compression is 10:1 or 11:1 in that term of compression doesnt really matter what it is if you dont go crazy on boost, Like i said TUNING is key. With a good tune you can easily boost and 11:1 motor which i guarantee his b7/z6 setup is not that high of compression.

Compared to a DOHC swap? No it isn't worth it.

depends on money. you can get more power out of boosting a sohc for less money the any B-series swap. but i personally like the DOHC for sure. more potential definitely but it all comes down to your budget

did u just sit there and make that up..??

my friends has a fully built bottom end z6, with a stock z6 head boostin 22psi "385hp on a STOCK HEAD"..!! so ummmm, yeah way more than 10psi, also takin into consideration that BOOST AMOUNT is irrelevant to anything without knowing how much POWER your going to be putting out...

i'm in a good mood this morning, just hate when people blurt out the first thing that comes to their mind to try and bump up there post #'s lol... c'mon guys, lets do a lil research before we have people drivin around boostin 10PD's "<~~ lmao" and blowin up there motors..!! haha...

at jdm sohc......let me remind you that you said built block while the op said nothing of the block so i think you should re-read my post, of course with bottom end work you can make better power and up the boost but if you consider that the op is new to honda's then i highly doubt he has a built bottom end so relax i love nothing more than a beastly single cam....and the whole 10psi being reliable statement i was being very general your are correct setup and tuning make that number variable....sorry i didn't jump through hoops to be accurate on this one
