Can I Get Away W/This???
Hi H-T!
I'm attempting to piece together my first b-series turbo kit...All the turbo kits that I've stumbled upon seem to be in the general price range of $2800 (for an AC compatible kit, which is a must for me) and that's just a little bit out of my price range. I was hoping to put together something for $2300 or so...
What I've done is pieced together a complete kit from various web sites in hopes more knowledgeable h-t folks can let me know if it should achieve my goals of roughly 260whp...I'd consider anything more a bonus!!!
I'm running a stock ls engine so 7-9psi seems to be the max unless I start working on internals which is fine for the meanwhile. I'd like to work on a solid turbo block on the side.
Well here it goes....let the flaming begin, im totally down for constructive criticism. Let me have it as I'm a newb to Honda/Acura turbo. Also...am I forgetting anything???
Spoolin Manifold- $225
Spoolin 3" DP- $355
Spoolin IC Piping $245
Spoolin IC $190
SS Oil Line kit $40
Turbonetics t3/t4 Turbo (60 Trim) $700
Tial 38mm Wastegate $200
Tial 50mm BOV $210
Misc gaskets & hardware $35
Total= $2165
Now obviously I'm not taking fuel management/tuning into account. If you had $2300 and were to piece together a kit, what would U do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

yeah check the clssifieds regularly if your going to budget build....if you got 2300 why not save another 500? its alot easier for a first time noob build. you dont have any couplers or tband clamps which add up QUICK, Im sure youll have more than 35 in misc hardwars and gaskets, your missing the oil return, missing the turbo oil flanges, missing injectors, what about the pcv system(thats fairly important for longevity), spark plugs ....thats just a few of the things I can think of off the top of my head....as you can see they will add up to 2800 quick
also what condition is your stock motor in? this will play an important part in the reliability factor...have you considered arp rod bolts, that the LS achilles heel
AFI used to have a kit that was EVERYTHING for 2800, but their site is acting goofy right now
