Mini me I need help with what block to run
I have a z6 head and I want to do a mini me to get my car up and running again the z6 block went out. I have a D16A6 and a D16Y5 which block would be better I plan on boost it later on but I have no car now and I need to get a motor in my eg hatch so I can drive it.

I assume you have the complete bottom end of both those motors? The pistons in the a6 will give you really high compression so I don't know how good that would work with a turbo.........
I would go with the a6 cuz you wont have to worry about all the sensors of obd2 in the y5.

yup d16a6 + d16z6 head does give 9.95 compression. thats what i have built, and its fairly quick. but then again not good for boost.

Well when I build the bottom end for boost, if i put 9.1 compression pistons for the a6 block what will that bring the compression too
