Autometer Tach Wiring Help! (Already Searched)
I have a 89 civic sedan lx 1.5L. I hooked up the ground and power wires on my Autometer Tach. I just need to know what wires to hook up the signal wire and the light wire?
Run the signal wire from the tach to the distributor. At the dist. make a hole in the rubber between the cap and housing. Run the wire through. Attach the wire at the coil. As for the lights I dont remember the exact wire but you can use a test light and probe around. As you probe turn the lights on and off and it should corespond with the test light. Anybody else have any other ideas. That worked for me.
the green wire goes to the negative side of the ignition coil, there are two wires that are on the coil a the wire is yellow with a green stripe, just stip the wire and loosen the srew and put it under the screw, but make sure you dont have to much exposed wire to make contact with the positive side, and for the ilumination just connect it to the parking lights, because you can see it during the day, this has always worked great for me

Here is a tip form when i did mine. attach the signal wire to the BLUE wire coming from the dizzy, try to find the wirer closer to the firewall to keep things clean. the for the light wire, might as well just get a wiring schematic and find the wire for the corner lights. thats all i did. took about a full hour to do. but then again i never did one before that.
