have an autometer tach, which wire is it on the distributor? or another closer?

 

i believe its the green one.....
found this on ti

Black = ground
Red = 12v source when the key is on
White = 12v lighting
Green = tach. signal.
Pretty simple .

 

the one to the dizzy is most likley the longest out of the bunch because it has to reach the farthest

 

Auto meter tach leads are usually green. where are your instructions?

in the back if the guages there 3 clips of wiring ....the clip on the left , theres a blue wire ....that wire is the signal for ur stock tach ...

 

Run it to the negative side of the coil OR tap the solid blue wire from the cluster harness

 

yes i know the wire color codes that are coming from the tach, i was just wondering where i can hook the green wire from the tach to? my buddy tapped it with one of the wires to the distributor last time but i replace my head gasket and forgot where it goes. is there another wire closer i can tap it to? it's for a gsr of corse..

 

The tach wire for the car is blue which could be found on the distributor plug or behind the cluster. But please test the wire just to confirm. Send me a PM if you need any help.
