Icon2 Del Sol ECU identification...

wondering if someone could tell me if this p30 ecu is 5spd or auto and usdm or jdm?

ECU: 37820-P30-A00

from what i understand the "A" means its USDM, but not sure to tell if its a 5spd or auto?

5 Speed, the first digit after the A is what tells you, 0 is 5 speed, 5, 7 and 9 usually designates auto. Also, USDM automatic P30s don't exist.

That's supposed to be for a '94-'95 originally btw.

To elaborate on what 94EG8 was saying, the last three digits in an ECU part number can tell you the market. The first digit of the set tells you the country or emissions code.

I'll use this part number as the example.

A00

Almost all Honda emissions or country codes start with K.

This would be a KA code.
Some examples:

KA = 49 State Legal (US)
KE = UK and Ireland
KG = Germany and Holland
KH = High Altitude (US only?)
KL = California Emissions (US)

You might also remember having seen this on Honda parts sites, such as Honda Parts Deals. Granted they don't explain as much.
