car wont start
where is my starter in my 97 honda civic ex? read manual cant find it ok i need help! I went to start my car and i hear the starter but than it went silent. the key truned and no sound, i have a new alternater and durlast gold batter. is it my starter? or the switch. what all can it be????

first off you are in the wrong forum. this is for 8th gen (06+) you are 96-00. but to answer your question, yes the starter is easy to change. if you are looking at your engine bay it is on the left of the engine block, toward the back. its just held on by three bolts (i think)
the starter has only 2 bolts and you can remove the starter from the top of the engine bay without a lift. Also once you remove the starter take it to autozone, etc. To have it tested to make sure that was the cause of your problem. And also a tip make sure to have the new one tested before you install it on your car. I know it sounds ****, but so many are rebuilt and you would be surprised.
